Testimonials "I've been all over the world, but I must say that Windmill Ranch Preserve is an amazing experience!" Donald J. Lancaster "If you want to get away from the stresses of every day life, this is the place to go! It’s the quintessential west Texas experience! The rustic west, the nature, the beauty, the sunrises, the sunsets… with incredible accommodations and service, four-star meals, and a big old porch at the pavilion to watch the stars in the big Texas sky. I have stayed in some of the finest hotels, bed and breakfasts, and destination getaways all around the world, and Windmill Ranch Preserve is a must do experience!" Janet Carroll Richardson "Bill, Doug Calvert "Eight buddies and myself found are way to the Windmill Ranch for opening of dove season last Friday. The weather cooperated and all 9 of us limited out well before dark. Bill had mowed around the stock tank as well as some other paths and places for us to shoot. There was more than enough room to accommodate our group. After killing our limit we headed back to camp to a nice refreshing shower. Although I think all of us were somewhat skeptical about the 'tents' some of us stayed in we quickly learned that our fear was unfounded. The towels, linens, and beds were all first rate and the tent stayed cool all night. The 'tents' are nice enough to bring your wife and daughter down for a weekend stay. We had a great meal that night, coffee delivered to our doorstep then next morning. Shot another limit of doves on Saturday in what I would call pass shooting. After the morning hunt we were treated to a breakfast spread fit for a king. Truly an enjoyable hunt." Bennett G. Cook "Bill, Mel Shook, President "Where else in West Texas can you hunt world class doves, be fed by a chef 'to die for' and sleep in the cleanest and most unique cabins I have seen. Bill, his mother, and staff are the best." Ron Ratliff "Jeff, Chris Stevenson |
