SCHEDULING YOUR EVENT

"Our mission is to create memorable and unique experiences for our guests."

Eco Tourism
Windmill Ranch Preserve is committed to the preservation of the environment and habitat of this part of the West. We not only observe and enjoy the fruits of the land, be the flowers, plants, birds or wildlife, we are diligently engaged in the applications of every method which keeps the ecology of the area alive and healthy.

The policy at Windmill Ranch is that all life is valued, and that we not only seriously endeavor to maintain what is there now, but we are committed to being on the cutting edge of all theories of wise and prudent use of the land.

We invite ecologists, naturalists, sociologists, serious students of natural sciences and the scientific community to be a part of our commitment to leave the one thousand acres a better place.

Community Involvement
The Ranch is committed to the citizens of Scurry County, particularly the youth, for interaction and education at every level. Organizations with agendas and objectives that are dedicated to all good things are encouraged to make use of the facilities and are always welcome.

Windmill Ranch cordially invites Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H members, civic clubs, study groups, church youth groups and college interest groups to use the Ranch. We want to provide a place for meetings, retreats, for study and for projects.

Informal Education
Windmill Ranch Preserve is committed to participating in every worthy informal educational endeavor - art, photography, music, theater, film festivals, storytelling and dance.

Nature classes are always at the top of the list at the Ranch . . . . . to learn more species of wildflowers, to count more birds this year than last and to learn the nesting habits of whatever.

Retreats and camps
We are committed to providing the site and accommodations for groups seeking a quiet place to plan or to rethink. Day camps for adults - those grown-ups who remember the good times around a campfire will have a venue to revisit some memories.

We plan to invite spiritual teachers to conduct retreats. We welcome Snyder churches to plan annual retreats or picnics, have small, local mission studies or just a restful time apart. The Ranch has a plan for business men and women to come for a day or two for training, recreation or the annual retirement party

The ultimate get-away
The Ranch is committed to becoming the unique destination for folks who are ready to experience the west in a new way. Picture being greeted at your door with a steaming hot cup of coffee each morning. This gesture of true western hospitality will set the scene for the rest of their day "at the ranch."
