Frequently Asked Questions Windmill Ranch Preserve Where are you located? WRP is eight miles west of Snyder, home of the White Buffalo. We are centrally located between Lubbock, Midland and Abilene. Check the Contact Us page for precise directions What are your rates? Our prices range from $105 to $135 per night. We ask for a two night stay. For single night stays, we must add a $25 cleaning fee. Please check our rates page for more details. How many can WRP sleep? That’s the $64,000 question because it all depends on HOW you’ll sleep. If everyone wants a bed to themselves without sharing, we can sleep 11. But if we have folks who’ll share a bed, we can sleep as many as 18. If you have more, we can make arrangements with you here @ no additional cost or recommend a motel in Snyder @ your own cost. Is WRP only BnB or more? More, lots more! We are a BnB, but we’re also a place to hold weddings (see our Weddings page), company retreats, dinner parties, birthday parties, seminars, etc. Tell us what you want and need and we can do it. Forms of payment? We take the major credit cards, but prefer cash or personal checks. When’s the best time to visit? My personal favorite is in the spring. The summer’s good too and fall’s not bad either. Come to think of it, head this way anytime you want! Are the tents really that comfortable? Yes! Absolutely! I’ve slept in all of them. We install swamp coolers in the spring & summer and provide propane heaters in the cooler months. Each tent has electricity, hot & cold water, showers and toilets. What’s there to do @ WRP? Relax, that’s our specialty. Take a walk in the country. Sit with a book on your private front porch. Pull up a rocker outside the pavilion. Take a swim in our customized “tank” pool. Visit Prairie Dog town. What about other attractions? This list is long; Fishing @ Lake Alan Henry, golf @ the Snyder Country Club or Western Texas College, antiquing in Snyder, Colorado City or Post, live music @ Jessie Janes in Justiceburg on Saturday nights, plays @ the college, museums in Lubbock, Midland and Abilene and more!!! Can I bring my dog? Possibly. Just call and let me know. What about children? Children are welcome, but please remember—this is the country and we can tame it only so much. Internet/Satellite? We have both. We have wireless internet and satellite TV in our pavilion. |
