Directions to the Windmill Ranch Preserve from Snyder The Windmill Ranch Preserve is located at 9180 W. Hwy 180 in Snyder, Texas, also known as “Randal’s Corner.” The Ranch is 7.7 miles west of the Square in downtown Snyder. From downtown Snyder, take highway 180 west until reaching Randal’s Corner at County Road 264-S. Look for a metal sign with a Windmill cut-out. (For most events – balloons are hung on this sign.) Turn right. Travel approximately one mile and take the first dirt road to the left which is County Road 242. (Watch for another metal cut-out sign w/ a windmill and balloons). Travel approximately one mile, past an old farm house on the left, then watch for the Windmill Ranch Preserve entrance on the left. Turn left going over the cattle guard. Follow this winding Ranch road about a mile and take a left after you pass the Ranch House, Pavilion and Tents off to your left. If alternative parking is planned for the event you are attending, the roads and parking areas will be clearly marked. Directions to the Windmill Ranch Preserve from Lubbock Take highway 84 through Post and through Justiceburg. Watch for Farm Road 1269 / Fluvanna. Take a right onto FM 1269. The road turns back and forth up a steep hill through a very rocky area. You will reach Fluvanna at a stop sign. Go straight – continuing several miles on FM 1269. Watch for a sign for County Road 242 – a dirt road to the left. Follow this dirt road – always continuing straight (do not take the curve in the road) until you see “windmill Ranch Preserve” entrance on your right. Turn right and follow the road in about a mile to the Ranch facilities. Alternatively, stay on FM 1269 until you reach Hwy. 180. Turn left. Keep going until you reach “Randal’s Corner,” aka-County Road 264S. Turn left. (Please note: on Hwy. 180, you will pass an entry gate to Windmill Ranch Preserve. DO NOT ENTER into this gate - this area is fenced off from the rest of the Ranch.) After turning onty CR264S, go one mile to County Road 242. Turn left. Go one mile to the Windmill Ranch Preserve main entrance. Turn left and follow the road in about a mile to the Ranch facilities.
